In the 1910 Federal Census, Silvers Porter Gibson was found living in Ross County, Chillicothe, Ohio, on Second Street. Silvers states his age as 61. His wife Hannah age 57.

In the 1920 Federal Census, Silvers Porter Gibson was found living in Ross County, Chillicothe, Ohio, on Second Street. Silvers states his age as 71 his wife Hannah age 66.

Their granddaughter, Karleen Bethel, age 3, is living with them.

1930

In the 1930 Federal Census, Silvers Porter Gibson is found living with his daughter, Stella, and her husband, James Ruth. Silvers states his age as 81. They are found living on Arch Street. Silvers Porter Gibson died in 1931 and is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery Ross.

DEATH NOTICES OF SILVERS PORTER GIBSON AND HANNAH J. ANTHONY GIBSON

 

HANNAH GIBSON

HANNAH J. GIBSON, Wife of S. P. Gibson, was born March 22, 1853, and departed this life, March 28, 1923, age 70 years. She was united in marriage to S.P. Gibson, October 5, 1871 and to this union were born nine children. Four of whom preceded her to the Glory World. She is survived by her husband and five children, as follows:

Mrs. James (Stella) Hutt,   Mrs. E.G. Graves, W.B. Gibson and Mr. Henry S. (Mamie) Gibson all of Chillicothe, and
Mrs. E.Wrig of Port Clinton, Ohio.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of fourteen years and in later years was

Sanctified wholly and lived a consistent Christian life until the day of her death, dying in the Triumphs of a living faith

She also leaves to mourn her departure twenty-two grandchildren and a host of friends. Our loss

is her eternal gain.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, at the Watts Street U.B. Church, with the

Rev. R.A. Hitt of Westerville officiating. Internment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe.

 

SILVERS PORTER GIBSON

S.P. GIBSON 369 Mill Street, passed away Thursday with a cerebral hemorrhage, after an Illness of two days. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio November 9, 1848 and died, April 2, 1931, at the age of 82 years. He was a member of the First U.B. Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Daughters, sons, and wife preceded him in death. Four children, Mrs. James (Stella) Hutt and Mr. Henry S. (Mamie) Gibson of this city: Mrs. E. G. Graves of Cincinnati and Mrs. H.E. Ugrig of Denton, Maryland and twenty-three grandchildren survive. Two sisters, Mrs.William Farmer of Obetz Junction and Mrs. Lem Maxwell of Ray Ohio, and four brothers J. C. Gibson of Racine, Ohio. J.J. Gibson of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, and H.J. Gibson Of Williamsport and G.W. Gibson of Allenville, also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm from the grave at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. H.O. Thompson officiating. Friends may view the remains at his Residence from Saturday noon until time for services.
