Georg was born in Allmannsweier, Baden in 1847.

Georg is reported to have arrived in the United States in  approximately 1866.

George married Susan Noble on December 5, 1871 in Ross County, Ohio. George and Susan Noble Winters had 3 children - Mary, George Lewis, and John Henry - all born in Ross County, Ohio.

Reportedly, George died soon after the birth of his last child, John Henry, in 1875. Susan and the three children moved north to Latty in Paulding County, Ohio.  The children all married and had children of their own. 

After the death of George Winters, Susan Noble Winters married John W. Watson on Sept. 21, 1876, in Ross County, Ohio .

Susan Noble Winters later married Charles Radenbach. They moved to Sheridan, Michigan, where she died in 1905.
